Reactions: Super cute, a fresh and fun take on ghosts

I didn’t know what to expect when I first pressed play on this series. But I was quickly and pleasantly surprised. Here’s the gist: Katherine inherited a haunted hotel full of ghosts when her brother passed away. The twist is her brother is one of the ghosts and helps run the hotel while trying to keep the ghosts in check.

Katherine has two kids. One, the badass little girl Esther who is proficient in the dark arts and mature beyond her years. The second is the older brother Ben who is just too innocent and incompetent to do much harm or protect himself from danger. And I guess you could say the “third kid” is Abaddon, an immortal prince of Hell trapped in a boy’s body for the last 300 years.

I really loved these episodes. They’re funny and cute and endearing. But most of all, it just felt like a new show with a fresh idea. Hey Hollywood: More new ideas like this please!

I just read that Haunted Hotel was green lit for a second season which pleases me. Can’t wait to see it. You should go watch Season 1, now.
