Reactions: ADORABLE, Love love loved it!
Where to watch: Tubi
I watched this movie over the 4th of July weekend when I was sequestered away in a cabin with only Hulu and Tubi (and the deer and the redwoods) to keep me company. For those who don’t know, Tubi has the largest collection of LGBTQIA+ movies on the internet, free, if you’re ok with occasional ad breaks. 4th Man Out follows its main character Adam who has been stressing over coming out to his three best friends and his family. No spoiler here, but he comes out and the movie focuses on how everyone reacts.
The thing is, this feels very realistic. Adam is a bro with his bro posse. The way they react is very much how I’d expect guys today to react (altho this was filmed in 2015! how progressive). The guys are accepting but don’t know how to act at first. Except for his best friend Chris, who steps up and is the best friend we all wish we had when we came out.
Also I must say that a key reason to watch this movie is because of how hot Adam (Evan Todd) and Chris (Parker Young) are. Like, what the actual fuck? How do dudes look like that in real life?! (See pictures below.) Chord Overstreet (of Glee fame) is also one of the bros, and is a looker too.
Coming in at just under 90 minutes, 4th Man Out is the perfect feel good gay coming out story with solid acting and a cute and realistic story. Go watch it!
