Reactions: Thrilling, edge of my seat

There’s not a lot I can say about this movie without spoiling it. But here goes.

Trap is exhilarating and it kept my heart pounding out of my chest for 1.5 hours. Josh Hartnett is fantastic. So is the Saleka Night, who plays the pop star. I loved seeing Alison Pill again (I love her so much in Star Trek: Picard).

Here’s what M. Night Shyamalan does well: He tells fresh, new stories that keep you guessing and keep your heart racing. Here’s what I don’t love about his movies: They all have this “vibe” to them that makes them feel like only tad bit better than a B-movie. For whatever reason, so many of his movies feel under produced. And Trap is no exception.

However, it doesn’t take away from the fact that I really liked this movie for what it was. You should definitely watch it. It’s highly entertaining.
