Reactions: Meh, Isokay
Where to watch: Prime
Everyone knows there’s only one reason to watch Reacher: Alan Ritchson naked. And we get a few glimpse of his giant mounds of muscle in this season. Given how flat the story was, I think they could’ve dropped a few more gratuitous skin shots in throughout the season and it would’ve helped make the show more palatable.
Things I didn’t like about this season:
- The DEA agent with a terrible Boston accent.
- The hookup and interaction/relationship between her and Reacher felt so thin and stale like cardboard.
- The story was yawners and didn’t move fast enough.
- There were too many people to save, so it got confusing what the real mission was. It was all over the place.
- His team didn’t play a prominent enough role. Reacher is best when he’s leading his team.
- The cutting off the ear thing was so dumb.
Besides the three or four times we saw Reacher sans clothing, the only other thing I kinda liked about this season was Reacher meeting someone bigger and tougher than him. But, again, the final showdown scene between those muscle bros, which we all knew was coming, was painfully cliché.
One more thing: I think somewhere between Season 2 and Season 3, Alan Ritchson misplaced his neck. The dude is getting way too big. Reacher makes a joke during an episode about steroid use aimed at the giant other dude in the show. But I think Alan needs to do a little soul searching on how big is too big himself? I think he’s gone too far.
